My approach to therapy is heavily influenced by the philosophy of growth. I work collaboratively with clients to formulate the right conditions to foster a new way of being in the world.

When client’s enter my office they tend to want relief from challenging patterns and unmanageable symptoms. They also want to grow new ways of interacting with family, friends, and themselves and are unclear on how to begin. I work with clients to understand the conditions which have stunted their growth and have kept them from breaking unwanted habits. Collaboratively we begin to identify HOW they can begin to create change.

Clients who are open to body processes being an important source of information and change will benefit from Somatic Psychotherapy. If you have experienced limited success in traditional talk therapy settings you may find a body-oriented approach to be a concentrated and refreshing way of exploring obstacles. I honor and bring in wisdom from various ancient traditions while also integrating latest neuroscience research to support the value of body-informed treatment.

I attempt to make my practice as inclusive as possible, and strive to offer treatment that honors all intersects of one’s identity.

Regardless of the challenges you face, I can support you knowing yourself differently which can create new ways of addressing old problems.

Some clinical terms that describe my therapeutic approach include: attachment-based, somatic, gestalt, and psychodynamic.
